Red Alaea Salt is traditionally used on the Hawaiian Islands to season and preserve foods. The bold yet mellow flavor does well with all kinds of dishes as well as soups and stews. Popular as a topping for chocolate desserts and ice cream.

The gorgeous deep red color is a result of natural evaporation when the solar dried sea salt becomes trapped in tidal pools and mixes with red volcanic clay.
