in2ition mercantile was the first of its kind - a boutique of unique products curated by an architect with a passion to tread lightly on the earth. A space that proved adaptive reuse is real and upcycling can be awesome.
We are happy to be such an influence on so many other businesses that have taken our lead in supporting local manufacturers, American-made, talented artists and world-changing cooperatives. They say copying is the best form of flattery and in this case it will benefit so many people, which is our wish from the beginning.
It was with great selflessness that we sought to help small brands and artisans by offering a location to bring their product to the masses. Many of these brands have now become known all over Long Island as well as branching out across the country. We are happy to have contributed to their success.
Amazing opportunities have presented themselves that will be leading us into new innovations and creations. We are excited to embark on these ventures although it is bittersweet to leave our sustainable hand built space.
